Why we shouldn't rely on technology...
I was sitting in front of my laptop, getting ready to publish my next post when I was faced with a dilemma. This post was meant to include a concept web using the Bubbl.us tool covering what I learnt in Week 1, however, after many unsuccessful attempts, I was unable to access the website. It just goes to show that technology, our best friend, is not always reliable and we need to have a back up plan when things just don't go the way we want.
I will attempt to use this tool again in a few days to see if the company has fixed this problem. Stay tuned!!

I agree with you Danni. I believe that we must incorporate ICT learnings into school curriculum but it should not be the main component of learning. When technology breaks down or the power goes out, without a back up plan we would not be able to provide quality education. Mixing the old with the new is a must and having the skills to do both, will I feel, provide students an "all rounded" education.
ReplyDeleteHope you have better luck with your problem.
I defintitely agree with that. Like I said on my interactive whiteboard blog post never seen a lesson ended early because you only had two whiteboard markers and they both ran out of ink or when you have used one computer to make a document or a program and need to run it on another that has a different version of software that won't run the one you used to make it and you don't realise till too late and end up have having to do something completely different to what you had planned for the lesson which is one not what you needed to do and two not as good as what you planned because you're doing it on the fly.
